Bryan Bengston Bryan Bengston, CPA, Chief Financial Officer

Bryan Bengston brings over twenty years of corporate finance experience and knowledge to Ironhawk. Armed with both a private industry and public accounting background, Mr. Bengston is an innovative, results oriented financial executive, business advisor and strategist. He leads Ironhawk’s finance, investing, accounting and risk management operations and is a key member of the executive leadership team.

Prior to Ironhawk, Mr. Bengston was a key member of the turnaround management team at Starving Students, Inc. (Starving Students) a large local moving company that had experienced consecutive years of substantial losses. The turnaround strategy led the company to significant profits in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Among his duties, Mr. Bengston negotiated and restructured pre-existing debt instruments to obtain cash flow relief, and he negotiated and installed a new operating financing facility.

Prior to Starving Students, Mr. Bengston was the vice president of finance at Shopzilla (Formerly BizRate.com), an on-line comparison shopping website. Mr. Bengston was responsible for managing and building the Finance and Administration department during a period of significant growth. Over the course of six months, Mr. Bengston implemented financial internal controls and processes while Shopzilla's headcount doubled in size.

Prior to Shopzilla, Mr. Bengston spent fifteen years at Ernst & Young LLP. At E&Y, he was an executive in the audit department, where he specialized in Securities and Exchange Commission rules and regulations, and in companies in the Retail and Consumer Products industry. Mr. Bengston also spent two years in the national office of E&Y creating and developing the Audit Methodology and Service Delivery Process implemented by all practice offices in the United States.

Mr. Bengston is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California. He graduated from California State University, Northridge, Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, plus an option in Accounting Theory and Practice.
